Every smartphone gives different performance in real life. In this blog, I’m sharing the gaming performance of Xiaomi 14 CIVI after using it for a few days, doing heavy tasks, playing BGMI, PUBG and sharing thoughts.
Recently Xiaomi announced to launch mobile “Xiaomi 14 CIVI” in India on 23rd May. Xiaomi 14 CIVI comes with top-level specifications with the price of Rs 42,999 in India and it will be under 40,000 after applying all offers.
Hardware Review as per Gaming Performance Requirement
Speaker
- Xiaomi 14 CIVI has stereo speakers, which will help in gaming if you don’t have earphones or earbuds.
- Its bass is low, louder, clear, and decent but doesn’t feel like a premium speaker.
- Also, it will help in gaming if you don’t have earphones or earbuds.
Dual 5g VoNR
- Xiaomi 14 CIVI comes with 5G VoNR, essential for calling features.
- Nowadays, without VoNR, you can’t make calls to anyone on a 5G network.
- If you’re using a 5G device, you may notice that whenever someone calls you, your network automatically converts to 4G. This can be frustrating while playing games.
So, VoNR calling features and good network coverage boost your gaming performance on Xiaomi 14 CIVI.

- It comes with a 120Hz AMOLED Punch-hole display. It supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
- With a 240Hz touch sampling rate, which is not the best but okay for playing BGMI.

- Xiaomi 14 CIVI has a great display but we need better graphic hardware also so we can play heavy games smoothly and it has better graphics. See the Processor section.

- We need better graphics hardware, and Xiaomi 14 CIVI has better graphic Adreno 735 with 460 PPI.
- Xiaomi 14 Civi has 480 Hz Touch sampling rate, which is best for high graphic gameplay.
Peak Brightness
- Xiaomi 14 CIVI has 3000 nits peak brightness, providing better visibility outdoors.
- We can play games and do other things outdoors easily.
- So 3000 peak brightness will help to give better visibility and enhance your Xiaomi 14 CIVI gaming performance.
Weight
- The weight of Xiaomi 14 CIVI is around 179g which is under 200g.
- Honestly, gamers don’t like smartphones that weigh more than 200g. As this is on the lighter side, playing games is easy.
- When I was playing for one hour I didn’t feel any pain in my hand.
- In terms of weight, I can say that during gaming, it will enhance your gaming performance.

- From the above table, it is easy to understand the performance of Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with Xiaomi 14 CIVI, which scores an impressive 1,456,720 on Antutu.
- It gives similar performance like poco F6 as it has same processor.
- VC Cooling System is also given to cool its processor and increase its performance.
- For BGMI smooth gaming we need at least an above 7 lakh score and it scores above this.
- As I tested, it gives buttery smooth daily uses and gameplay as well.
- It handles heavy games with higher graphics and high frame rate without frame drop.
- All social media apps like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc. run smoothly.
This new 4nm processor saves more battery, AI enhancement inbuilt, so you can play games smoothly or do lots of things at once, the 14 CIVI handles it and performs well.
Xiaomi 14 CIVI RAM – Upto 16GB
Xiaomi 14 CIVI has LPDDR5X RAM, which is quite good. It works fast during heavy use, app opening, background app opening, user interface, and much more.
This expandable RAM is helpful to play normal to heavy games easily with lower settings.
Xiaomi 14 CIVI Storage – UFS 4.0
- Xiaomi 14 CIVI has UFS 4.0 storage, this is great to see under 30k.
- So file transfer, copy-paste, also downloading, and taking files from other devices through nearby share works ultra fast.
- Xiaomi 14 CIVI has higher read-write speed compared to others at this price and gives great gaming performance.
Geekbench Scores for Xiaomi 14 CIVI gaming performance
- Antutu score: 1,456,720
- Geekbench Single core score: 1,944
- Geekbench Multi-core score: 5,147
- No throttling issues: 87%
This is a nice score for playing BGMI, PUBG at 60FPS settings.
Can play BGMI with 90 FPS on Xiaomi 14 CIVI without frame drop issues.
Xiaomi 14 CIVI works well for moderate to heavy games like Genshin Impact without lag.

Graphics Settings:
- Above Table is given to understand easily its graphics settings and how fast and smooth BGMI (PUBG) runs on Xiaomi 14 CIVI.
- Gyroscope works good and enhances the performance of Xiaomi 14 CIVI.
- Due to the 240 Touch sampling rate, gives a good response (firing in-game).
Gameplay:
- I have played for one hour with smooth + Extreme setting and did not feel any major lag or heating issue.
- It gives 58 to 59FPS continuously during TDM.
- It gives 50 to 60 FPS constant gameplay.
- Erangel, Sanhok, Livik I have played and it maintains 60FPS. Sometimes it drops to 45 but again it maintains 58 – 59FPS.
- After 1 hr. battery drop is 14% which is good.
- No heat with the highest settings.
COD and Genshin Impact Settings
Call of Duty on Xiaomi 14 CIVI runs at 60 FPS without any frame drops.
It works well also for heavy games like Genshin Impact without lag at 60fps and gives 55 to 60fps frame rate.
Battery and Charging
- The battery has a major role for every gamer.
- It comes with a 4700mAh battery.
- You can play more than 4 hours non-stop, any games, and any heavy task.
- Normal day-to-day life can stand one day easily.
- It comes with 67W charging support, and can charge from 0 to 100 in 40 minutes which is great. (While flagship phones like Samsung Galaxy A55 have only 25W support).
- This fast charging speed will give a boost in game performance.
Heating Issue: Is it generate heat?
The Xiaomi 14 civi 5G exhibits slightly elevated temperatures on the back panel during intense gaming while room temperature is high.
- It comes with 90W charging support and can charge from 0% to 100% in about 40min.
- So it charges faster and ready to play.
- So in charging, it enhance your gaming performance.

Its starting price or its base varient 8/256 GB price is 44,999 rupees.

Why you should Buy Xiaomi 14 civi-
- This phone is value for money. .
- While the Poco F6 focuses on performance, the Xiaomi 14 CIVI better in both camera capabilities and performance.
- This is all rounder smartphone.
- If you’re a gamer and want a gaming mobile phone under Rs 45,000 of a reputed brand, this is the right choice for you.
- It has better graphics, a better processor, a good display, better storage type, and overall gives better gaming performance.
Why you should not Buy Xiaomi 14 civi-
- Its UI is too Old I feel I am using 5 years old MIUI.
- No regular update on time, but as I know it will be fixed.
Xiaomi 14 CIVI is clearly a better choice over Poco F6 and great competitor for Motorola edge 50 pro in gaming performance as well as camera.
Also under 20000, Motorola edge 50 fusion one of the best.
I recommend this phone for above casual gaming because at this price, there are some phones that offer higher specs and hardware.

Does Xiaomi Civi 14 will support 120fps in BGMI
There’s a very low chance of this happening, and even if it does, it won’t work properly, it will lag.
