Network, Wifi, and Bluetooth

  • During our game test, the strong network coverage and VoNR capabilities of the Vivo V40 Pro significantly boosted gaming performance by ensuring uninterrupted 5G connectivity (8 band).
  • Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 7 work great with no issues. Bluetooth supports AAC connection, providing excellent bass and sound quality.
  • There is no 3.5mm headphone jack available, so you have to rely on wireless earbuds. The Vivo V40 Pro does come with dual stereo speakers, although it lacks Dolby Atmos support.

Vivo V40 Pro: Graphics GPU and Touch Sampling Review

A mobile phone requires good graphic hardware for better graphic support, and the Vivo V40 Pro doesn’t disappoint. It’s equipped with an Immortalis-G715 MC11 GPU, making it ideal for decent gaming with higher frame rates and smooth performance.

A 480Hz touch sampling rate, highest touch sampling rate, which is incredibly responsive in BGMI and it further increase by gaming mode.

Weight

The weight of the Vivo V40 Pro is 192g, which is slightly on the heavier side, but it provides a solid and premium feel.

The Vivo V40 Pro’s Mediatek Dimensity 9200+ delivers great performance, with an AnTuTu score of 14,85,537, which is the highest in this range. For BGMI smooth gaming, we need at least above 7 lakh scores, and it scores far beyond this requirement.

  • It runs popular games like BGMI smoothly, with no significant frame drops even at high graphics settings tested at 90fps.
  • We, gamers, appreciate the excellent battery optimization, though some heating issues might arise during extended sessions.
  • Overall, it’s a solid flagship option for hardcore gamers, offering a good balance of performance and battery savings (due to the 4nm processor) without major slowdowns or performance problems.

RAM – LPDDR4X Not Impressive

The Vivo V40 Pro has LPDDR4X RAM, which is decent not the best, at this price it should be LPDDR5X. Higher RAM type consumes less energy, offering more power-saving capabilities while providing smooth multitasking and app switching.

Storage – UFS 3.1, Should be Higher

  • UFS 3.1 storage in the Vivo V40 Pro makes downloading files quicker and smoother, allowing you to enjoy the benefits of 5G.
  • File transfer, copy-paste, and taking files from other devices through Nearby Share work ultra-fast. This reduces loading times and stuttering, providing a smooth gaming experience.

Storage and Ram type should be higher. I don’t know why, Vivo provides mid rage Ram type and Storage type.

Vivo V40 Pro – AnTuTu and Geekbench Scores

  • AnTuTu score: 14,85,537
  • Geekbench Single-Core score: 1,811
  • Geekbench Multi-Core score: 5,299
  • CPU Throttling: 94% of peak performance

These Geekbench and AnTuTu scores indicate top-tier performance for a mobile phone in this price range.

  • Its real-world performance is outstanding, allowing you to play Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and PUBG Mobile at higher settings smoothly.
  • For graphically demanding games like Genshin Impact, it handles them well without any significant lag.
