I have used this phone for a couple of days, played heavy games multiple times, like BGMI, PUBG, etc., and watched many YouTubers’ videos to make a conclusion on this phone. So, read all the blogs before buying this phone as per your requirement.
Hardware Review as per Gaming Performance Requirement:-
Display
- “Motorola Edge 50 Pro” has 1.5K curved pOLED Pantone Validated true color display, while “Nothing 2” has flexible LTPO Amoled display (LTPO display switch refresh rate from 1hz to 120hz and save the battery).
- Both comes with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and But Motorola Edge 50 Pro has 450 PPI while “Nothing 2” has 394 PPI.
Peak Brightness – 2000 vs 1600
- Motorola Edge 50 Pro has 2000 nits While Nothing 2 comes with 1600 nits peak brightness.
- We can play games and do other things at outdoors easily with the both phone but edge 50 is more brighter in real life as well.
- So in Peak brightness Motorola will give better visibility then Nothing 2 and enhance gaming experience.

- Nothing 2 5g and Edge 50 Pro has dual speaker with Dolby Atoms both sounds clear, lauder and can understand easily.

- Motorola Edge 50 Pro and Nothing 2 comes with good network connectivity coverage.

- Edge 50 Pro has IP68 rating while Nothing 2 comes with IP54.
- That means EDGE 50 PRO can shot under water.
Weight – 170g vs 201g
- EDGE 50 PRO has 170g only while Nothing 2 weight of 210g.
- Nothing 2 is heavy but I haven’t feel any measure pain when I was playing for half hour.
- In weight of view I can say Motorola is easy to handle and playing games is more easier and enhance your gaming performance.

- Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 (4nm) processor and its Antutu score is 8,19,039.
- Nothing 2 comes with Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor and its Antutu score is 11,95,555.
- For BGMI smooth gaming we need at least above 7 lakh score and both the phones scores.
- No doubt nothing gives better gaming performance but EDGE 50 PRO also provides similar experience as both has higher graphic settings unlocked.
RAM –
- Motorola Edge 50 Pro has LPDDR4X RAM, while Nothing 2 has LPDDR5X RAM type.
- Again Nothing 2 is winner. LPDDR5 helps to work fast during heavy use, app opening, background app opening, User Interface and much more.
Storage – UFS 2.2 vs 3.1
- Edge 50 Pro has UFS 2.2 Storage and Nothing 2 has UFS 3.1.
- Nothing has better specs but when I was copying file, Motorola copied faster than the nothing I don’t know why but it happens.
- Also file transfer, copy paste, also downloading and taking files from other devices through nearby share, Motorola perform better.
Graphics – Adreno 720 vs Adreno 730
- Motorola Edge 50 Pro has Adreno 720 graphics while has Nothing 2 has Adreno 730.
- In graphics both are almost similar but nothing Phone 2 is little bit more smooth.

- From above it is clear that each and every department Nothing 2 5g scores better.
- Motorola Edge 50 Pro 5g has also scores great but lower than Phone 2.In real life I haven’t feel any major difference.

- From the above picture, it’s easy to understand the graphic settings of Moto Edge 50 Pro and Nothing 2 in BGMI. Moto Edge 50 Pro provides a 60 FPS frame rate with all graphic settings.
- Nothing 2 also gives the same. However, I feel Nothing 2 gives slightly better FPS while playing BGMI, PUBG, Genshin Impact or COD due to its higher processor. In TDM, both phones consistently run at 60 FPS.
- Moto Edge 50 Pro occasionally experiences FPS fluctuations to around 55 FPS on Erangel and Sanhok but quickly stable it to 58-60 FPS, which is great. I am so impressed to see this level of performance at this price.
- Nothing 2 gives negligible fluctuations. BGMI, COD, and other games run slightly better and smoother on Nothing 2.
- Edge 50 Pro generates less heat compared to Nothing 2.
- Genshin Impact runs in both mobile also at 60FPS.
- Both phones run lag free and smoothly, and with balanced settings, you won’t regret choosing either of them.
Battery
- Battery has major role for every gamers.
- Nothing 2 comes with 4700mah while EDGE 50 PRO has 4500mAh battery only.
- After 1 hr of game play Motorola Edge 5p pro drops 25℅ battery which is higher drop.
- While Nothing 2 drops after 1 hr of game play is 19℅ which is good. Under 20℅ every we can say good battery backup.
- Normal uses EDGE 50 PRO has to recharge in the evening but when you play games you have to charge it in 4 hr to 5 hr.
- As moto edge 5p pro comes with 68W and 128W charger which makes it more valuable. It charges instantly and provide longer gameplay performance.
Conclusion
- Nothing 2 5g series is the winner as it has more powerful processor, RAM, Graphics, and software update but at a higher price.
- But to choose between these two I prefer Motorola Edge 50 Pro
- Because Motorola Edge 50 Pro 5g is all rounder, it has everything at valuable price. It has great camera, great performance, superb display quality, good design, charger also available with the box and a gaming performance phone.
